Nii Okai Awoa II Pledges Unity And Development For Greater Accra; Vows To Curb Unlawful Land Sales

Nii Okai Awoa II, the newly installed Dzaase Tse of the Abola family, has assured that he is dedicated to fostering unity and progress within Greater Accra, promising to clamp down on illicit land sales.

At a press conference held in Accra, Nii Okai Awoa II assured the residents of Greater Accra of his unwavering dedication to uniting the Ga state and putting an end to the unauthorized sale of Ga lands by certain chiefs for personal enrichment.

He underscored his commitment to collaborating with various stakeholders to create job opportunities for the youth of the Ga community.

“Education is pivotal for development,” he emphasized, adding that his administration would prioritize educating the youth and promoting Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) to alleviate unemployment in Accra.

Nii Okai Awoa II highlighted the discord and self-interest among chiefs in the Ga state as significant challenges hindering progress.

He pledged to impartially identify the rightful leader for the Ga state, foster unity, and implement developmental initiatives.

Acknowledging concerns from some chiefs about potential loss of chieftaincy and lands under a united state, he reassured them that the traditional authority of the Ga Mantse would be upheld without repercussions.

In addressing broader issues impacting the Ga state, Nii Okai Awoa II affirmed his commitment to combatting the activities of landguards and ensuring the safeguarding of lands and properties across Greater Accra.
